Electric Square originally sparked into life as sister studio to the renowned Studio Gobo in 2015. Since then, Electric Square has overseen major releases in Forza Street and Hot Wheels id, opened three studios and established itself as one of the most exciting new games studios in the UK! Electric Square Leamington Spa is a brand-new studio with big ambitions and a forward thinking approach to game development, following in the footsteps of its world class HQ in Brighton. We are searching for a talented and experienced Technical Director for an exciting and high-profile unannounced project. Join as a founding member of the studio and influence the creation of a world class team and their debut title. Requirements * Dynamic, motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and excellent communications skills. * Responsible for direction and quality of all technical aspects of the game studio. * Staff manager for all engineering and IT staff. * Conducts interviews and recruitment trips for engineering and IT staff. * Works directly with studio directors, game team leads and other Electric Square studios. * Performs technical due diligence for clients, project development, and pitches. * Takes part in client hospitality during on-site visits. * Acts as a mentor through regular one-to-ones and appraisals for team members. * Oversees studio physical and information security requirements. * Ensures Electric Square best practices are applied consistently. * Responsible for delivering high quality project results on time. Desirables * Ideally three or more shipped titles, with at least one as lead. * At least five years working in the games industry. * Familiarity with a breath of technologies from low level programming through to cloud services.
