Job Description
A highly rewarding and diverse entry role into the field of developmental disabilities and Applied Behaviour Analysis. We accept experienced graduates, professionals from other disciplines interested in ABA, carers and support workers looking to grow and develop, and candidates who have previously worked in ABA settings. Beam ABA Services support individuals with complex behavioural needs including individuals diagnosed with developmental disability, learning disability, emotional behavioural difficulties and/or oppositional defiant behaviours. We are currently recruiting for Bank Behaviour Support Therapists to join our growing team. Bank staff will work for BEAM with a number of service users, with flexibility to cover sessions due to staff absence or leave. In return, Bank staff will receive full induction training and ongoing clinical and professional support. You will be fully supervised and should be available to work evenings and weekends. We require all Beam staff to adhere to our Code of Conduct. Requirements Duties * To assist in the design and implementation of person centred programs utilising Applied Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support best practice * To monitor and take accurate data daily per service users targets * To assist service user with self-help skills including personal care and hygiene needs (e.g., toileting, nappy changing, feeding, bathing, nail cutting, and medication) * To ensure all programme materials are organised and accessible * To model best practice and professionalism at all times * Enable service user to improve self-management techniques * To attend mandatory trainings, team meetings and self-directed e-learning modules * To promote safeguarding and wellbeing for service user to the highest standard * To implement restrictive techniques per service users positive handling plan as required * Flexibility to support service user during evenings and weekends * Other duties as required by your manager Required qualifications and skills * Five GCSE's or equivalent * Good spoken and written English language skills * Internet connection Preferred qualifications * Undergraduate Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or related field * 1 year of applied experience working with special needs population * Experience utilising ABA methodology * Clean driving license Benefits Hourly rate of 10.00-13 depending on qualifications and experience 25 days paid holiday per year pro-rata Full training and discretionary contribution toward professional accreditations.
