The Role Our specialist teams aim is to enhance our clients' audit experience through gaining a detailed knowledge and understanding of their business. We don't see audit as a compliance exercise required by law; we go beyond this, exploring opportunities to benefit the business. Utilising our expertise in conjunction with our business knowledge enables us to offer relevant feedback or ideas, identify potential weaknesses or risks, and advise on remedial action. We now have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Audit and Assurance Manager to join our Newcastle office. We're looking for a qualified accountant under ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS or CAI who can manage specific audit & assurance clients and workflow to provide an unrivalled client service. With excellent knowledge and experience of international standards on Auditing, in both the UK and Ireland, you will have significant experience in preparing and auditing financial statements in line with generally accepted accounting practice. With a sound knowledge and understanding of all relevant UK taxes including Corporation Tax, VAT and PAYE you will ensure amounts are accurately presented in the financial statements of a company using audit software and accounts preparation software to ensue files are prepared in line with the relevant standards. Driving team performance whilst ensuring adherence to your individual job budget and maximum fee recovery, you'll play an essential part in coaching and training the team including junior staff and managing on a day to day basis.
