Job Description
We are recruiting for a Principal Traffic Modeller for our clients' highly regarded traffic and transportation division. Role Summary Our client has several high profile and challenging projects and as a result we are looking for a skilled and dynamic individual, that has previous experience in traffic modelling. The role will require you to be the lead on various development microsimulation projects, you will be supported by the existing team. Being the lead, you will need to be comfortable managing and leading a team. This is a pivotal role within the company and will be expected to be an active member of the organisation's growth. Role Requirements * A good skill level and experience of using microsimulation software (VISSIM would be of particular benefit) * A good level of professional work experience, with London experience highly desirable * A relevant degree (or similar) in engineering, or a post graduate qualification in transport planning or a suitable level of professional experience to demonstrate capability * A working knowledge of industry modelling guidance and an understanding of calibration and validation techniques * a high standard of numeracy * Good written and spoken English * Proficiency with MS Office software and Excel Skills and Experience * Experience of TfL's Model Auditing Process * Experience with other software packages, such as: * JCT LinSig * TRL TRANSYT * PARAMICS * PTV VISUM * SATURN * AIMSUN * Project management Attractive benefits package.
