Job Description

The role We are looking for a Mid-weight UX Specialist with 2-3 years under their belt with a genuine interest in research and optimization and looking to further their experience in this area. You will be confident advising clients and the team, basing your findings on solid user-centered thinking, qual/quant data, behavioral insight and your wider knowledge of current UX patterns. You will be passionate about identifying and defining potential solutions and variations to address any opportunities uncovered, experimenting with these ideas via A/B testing (CRO) and other research methods as appropriate. You will have some experience of and interest in conducting and observing users in research sessions and carrying out heuristic reviews. Requirements What youll do on a day-to-day basis * Work collaboratively within a Squad which includes a UI Designer, Data Analyst, Developer and Project Manager. Each Squad is responsible for the continual improvement of the customer experience for clients digital touch-points. * Generate A/B test ideas and UX recommendations based on behavioral, heuristic and data analysis, that align with business objectives. * Convert these recommendations into experiment hypotheses and test plans. * Carry out heuristic reviews of live websites / journeys alongside other supporting insights and data to uncover opportunities for improving the experience. * Contribute to identifying, defining and supporting on various research projects, such as usability testing studies, focus group research, remote testing, surveys etc. * Write up findings reports and/or presentations, confidently talking through the insights to clients - and how to act on them. Experience, skills and professional attributes: * Very good understanding of UX principles and methodologies including user research and the Lean UX process. * Very good understanding of experiment design and analysis. * Analytical skill-set including deep dives on data and research, to generate new user insight and recommendations. * Ability to infer behavioral insights from both quantitative and qualitative data. * Passion for problem solving and an experimentation mindset, always striving toward-improved solutions. * Ability to be unbiased and objective when it comes to the analysis of research-findings and data insights * Commercially aware, confident aligning user and business objectives. * Ability to present and talk through findings and rationale for solutions, appropriately to both colleagues and clients. * Ability to critique user journeys and consider the end-to-end user experience of a product/service alongside specific usability and interaction considerations. * Confident advocating and rationalizing potential opportunities for improvements on-the-fly in front of clients. Desirable * BSc or MSc in the field of human behaviour (e.g. HCI, Psychology, Social Science,Behavioural Science) * Experience with website A/B testing and CRO activity. * A strong understanding of ecommerce and web-based customer journeys. * Experience planning, conducting and generating recommendations from mixed methods such as lab or field-based user research, remote testing, surveys.
