Then the Head of Community Independence Service could be just the role for you... Context The Community Independence Service (CIS) is a community-based, intermediate care service providing advanced short-term nursing care, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and social care to people with immediate health or functional needs, who would otherwise require an admission to hospital. Since November 2016, CNWL has led a partnership of providers who together deliver the Community Independence Service. These partners include West London NHS Trust, London Central & West Unscheduled Care Collaborative, Central London Health (Central London GP Federation, London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster City Council and a number of other associate partners. The Service operates across Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster providing rapid response, rehabilitation and reablement services for patients/ residents in those boroughs. The Service also has a key role in the implementation of local integrated care strategies in each of these boroughs. This is an exciting time to join the organisation as CNWL has recently launched a Community Services Strategy which sets out our ambitions to develop and transform services, raising their profile regionally and nationally. The Role We are keen to recruit a dynamic and experienced senior operational manager to lead the Community Independence Service. The post holder will also operate as a 'subject expert' for Intermediate Care Services leading the development of Intermediate Care Services across the organisation. You will have experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders in a fast paced and changing environment. You should have significant experience of working in a variety of health care settings and managing high quality effective services and an understanding of community services and developments within the NHS. You will need to have energy, drive and ambition to manage across a wide geographical area, and be able to both work autonomously and also in partnership with stakeholders, internal and external.
