The strategy of Performance Management is to protect Lloyd's by ensuring peer-leading performance through the application across the Market of strong performance management and risk management underpinned by appropriate capital setting The strategy of the Policyholder and Third Party Oversight team is to oversee the interests of policyholders so they receive fair treatment in terms of buying policies from competent intermediaries and to make sure that that their claims and complaints are properly and fairly handled. We will also make sure third parties activities and interests in the distribution chain are appropriately overseen is a risk based and efficient manner. Job Summary The primary role of the Admissions Associate is to operate a risk based approach to relevant third party (coverholder and TPA) consents (for admissions/de-registrations/on-going approval/change of permissions) and to ensure that all approved entities remain suitable Responsibilities will include; Reporting to the admissions manager this role is accountable for day to day operation of the admission and change of permissions for third parties Accountable for an allocation of Coverholders for admission and ongoing approvals to ensure Lloyd's operates a robust but proportionate ongoing compliance oversight (and that the results of this are shared as appropriate with the market) To operate a risk based approach to coverholder/TPA/OMC approvals and deregistration in accordance with the Lloyd's Byelaws and to propose the approvals of new Coverholders and TPAs to management. Where authorised to be responsible for Peer review of the admissions teams decision papers and proposals To be able to respond to complex queries from the market depending upon experience and authority To take decisions within authority levels granted by the admissions manager Take key decisions on compliance documentation provided by third parties or evidence provided by managing agents To consider and evidence decisions and proposals clearly to management including recommendation for approval or rejection To consider any applications for class of business, territorial or other coverholder/TPA consents and give consent where agreed by the , Admissions manager To provide assistance and guidance to the market on DA issues and systems. To To ensure Lloyd's operates and maintains correct data in the appropriate systems and processes for the oversight of DA arrangements (including MED ATLAS, BAR and the TPA register) and provides any necessary support and assistance to the market regarding their use of those systems To work to any appropriate service standards and support team members to do so To support key market education and promotion of best practice in terms of co-ordinated audits (eg through Market Town Hall, auditor events and newsletters) What you'll Need Knowledge of London & International insurance markets (senior associate), DA, complaints, legal, regulatory, government, rating agency and policyholders issues Knowledge of macro and micro landscape influences at an insurance level and macro global economic level influences (senior associate) Knowledge of business process and systems change tools and best practice principles Experience of prioritising in an environment with competing business priorities Experience of Delegated Underwriting and/or compliance Experience of review and analysing compliance documentation As the successful candidate, you can expect to be rewarded with a competitive annual salary and benefits.
