Product & Lifecycle Governance Manager

Functional Area: CP - Compliance Estimated Travel Percentage (%): Relocation Provided: AIG Europe S.A. (U.K. Branch) & American International Group UK Ltd The Product & Lifecycle Governance Manager is responsible for the coordination & management of the product lifecycle & governance across the UK A&H Insurance business. Main accountabilities: New product development: Govern product life cycle from ideation with the business teams through to development, delivery of the completed product to the business and post product reporting, monitoring and revisions as needed. In-Life management: Set the 3 year UK product review schedule and ensure its delivery. Specifically improve customer focus , conduct customer conduct assessments and remediate actions within the reviews. Product retirement: To manage the product retirement process according to established global Product Development processes. Education and Implementation of regulatory changes: to collaborate with Legal, Compliance and the business to ensure that new laws and regulations are understood and implemented by the business through pro-active facilitation Third Party Agreement Oversight: Ensure that all UK PI TPAs have fully engaged contract owners and that, particularly for High Risk TPAs, on-going monitoring is carried out and any remediation implemented. Main Duties: ¢ Establishing, implementing, managing and reinforcing the Consumer Product governance process within the UK, ensuring alignment to global Product Development process and organizational policies and procedures. Specifically managing the UK Product Development Forum and all record keeping. Building and developing engagement of core business groups (Underwriting, Legal, Compliance, Complaints, Operations, Claims, Conduct etc.) in the product process in alignment with global policies and procedures. ¢ Developing product metrics that demonstrate improvements are being made in effectiveness and efficiency, particularly with regards to customer focus and customer conduct. ¢ Partnering with Business owners to build, communicate and execute on Product governance across the lifecycle, championing customer understanding and customer conduct outcomes ¢ Setting the In-Life review schedule and oversight so that it is delivered to plan. ¢ Contributing to the implementation of local Product Development projects. ¢ Developing and delivering consumer Product developments training for the UK ¢ Oversight of the UK Consumer TPAs, specifically with representation and reporting to the UK Third Party Management Forum. Ensuring that all Third Party delivery of products and experiences is understood at each stage of product lifecycle. ¢ To ensure that the business is trained and aware of up and coming regulatory changes and to work with the business to ensure that regulatory changes are implemented by due deadlines.
