Overview
I am currently recruiting for a Senior Software Developer to join one of my clients in Milton Keynes, this is an exciting opportunity to join a leading provider of Pension administration services. The Senior Workflow Developer will require strong technical skills within the Tibco toolset and would be responsible for analysing business requirements and designing the services that can be developed in a Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) to meet the requirements of each change and ultimately ensure positive investor outcomes are achieved. They would be responsible for defining and documenting the workflow architecture and ensuring that all development adheres to the defined architecture. They will also be required to mentor and guide other developers within the team to ensure that best practices are always followed and all developers within the team understand and can follow the architecture. The team are currently involved in a strategic programme of work to grow the business and improve business efficiency and the role holder would be responsible for ensuring that the solutions developed would meet the future requirements of the business. They will attend design sessions with the other senior developers in the department to ensure that the solution design is agreed by all teams and would be responsible for supporting the other teams within the department to remove any issues that occur during the development lifecycle You will be required to: Develop business processes using Tibco iProcess, Business Works and EMS Be responsible that the quality of each deliverable is off the highest standard Work closely with the other development teams to ensure the end-to-end solution meet the business requirements Database design Be able to investigate issues under tight time constraints and be able prioritise other work accordingly. Write and maintain appropriate documentation to describe application development, logic, utilize coding library and repository tools for revisions. Participate in the testing process through code review and functional testing Be aware of security implications when implementing solutions Ensure standards are adhered to during development cycles Identify performance improvements in existing functionality and recommend enhancements Provide support for cross training within the department Support other members of the team with any technical issues Be responsible for completing all mandatory training and to do so within required timescales Works closely with Development Manager, to ensure team are focused on the right thing at the right time The ideal candidate will have experience in: Understanding of Tibco HAWK Fully understand Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Experience in XML technologies e.g. XML, XPATH and XSLT Ability to design and create databases within Microsoft SQL Server Experience working in an agile methodology The role holder should be able to prioritise their work according to delivery expectations Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company who will let you fully utilise and enhance your current skill set.
