Sheltered Housing Manager

Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside Camden Council to provide them with Sheltered Housing Manager on a 3-6 month contract which is likely to be extended into a long-term contract. This role is 37 hours per week and offers a pay rate of £20.00 - £27.00 per hour . This may be negotiable dependent on your experience. As a successful Sheltered Housing Manager, your duties will include: To promote, encourage and support the continued independence and well-being of the sheltered housing tenants by monitoring, enabling and meeting the necessary support needs to assess, review and respond to ongoing support and housing needs of sheltered housing tenants appropriately. The role will develop and maintain constructive relationships with sheltered tenants, carers, partners, service providers and any one from the wider community that is involved with the sheltered scheme. To attend and participate in strategy meetings To keep records of the tenants, scheme and resources To liaise with service providers and managers regarding the progress of issues Assisting the Estate Management officer (EMO) with maintain tenancies and monitoring rent arrears Liaising with the EMO to deal with formal and information complaints To be considered for this position, you will have the following knowledge/experience a) Experience: Experience of working as a sheltered housing manager previously Experience of working for a local authority previously is desirable Experience of case working and managing a caseload of sheltered housing tenants Experience of working with vulnerable adults or people b) Knowledge Knowledge and understanding of assessing the needs of tenants and providing the appropriate support services for them. Knowledge and understanding of welfare benefits and the ability to assist were possible to maximise the tenant’s incomes.
