Over recent years the company have grown significantly and are now looking for an experienced IT Manager for their IT Support team to help coordinate installs. As an IT manager, the purpose of the role is to provide day-to-day support & leadership the IT Support Team. To ensure that internal and external colleagues and customers are provided with a professional and efficient level of service and that queries and problems are quickly and effectively resolved. You will be a hands on manager who has a vast amount of experience coordinating a team installing servers or 365 migration. Package £40,000 - £45,000 Benefits Responsibilities · Providing 3rd line technical support within the IT Support Team, providing day-to-day team leadership, training and mentoring for the IT Helpdesk Engineers, to ensure the smooth and satisfactory resolution of internal and external IT-related matters. · Assisting with the Installing and migrating of existing customer Servers to a new environment, along with support and backup to Microsoft Azure according to the LLD designed by the Director of Research and Development. Planning for the migration to Exchange Online and G-Cloud for customers who have IMAP or Exchange Servers on their site/s. Supporting the IT & Security Manager to achieve the business objectives in line with the Company’s business plan and the SLA relating to the IT Helpdesk. Setting the standards for team member behaviour and acting as a positive role model and Company brand ambassador for team members, adhering to the Company values at all times. Providing the recruitment, selection, induction, training and performance management of team members. Providing a pivotal link for communications between the Company and the IT Support Team, including the communication of team plans and goals. Motivating and encouraging team members to perform their role effectively. Using performance data relating to individual performance levels during regular one-to-one meetings with team members, to ensure that they are achieving their individual objectives and meeting SLA requirements. Supporting team members to identify and plan for any additional skills and training requirements needed by team members to develop their skills base. Providing on-going training and mentoring support to team members to assist them to develop their knowledge and skills base. Attending and playing an active role in team meetings. Ensuring that Company and Team policies and procedures are complied with and that documentation is fully and accurately completed and maintained securely on record in line with the Company’s GDPR. Ensuring that safe systems of work are adhered to by team members and that the Company’s Health and Safety Policy is adhered to at all times. Ensuring that the Company’s ISO 9000 quality management system and its associated policies, procedures and documentation are adhered. Essentials: · It is essential that you will have at least 3 years support experience up to 3rd line fix level within the last 2 years. · It is also essential that you have had 3 years’ experience of managing an IT Team. · You will have setup and design experience of – Office 365, Windows, Exchange Server, SQL Server, WAN, LAN, etc. · A Microsoft Certified ( MCSE) qualification is desirable, as is a degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent discipline.
