Overview
Java Developers- Nottingham City Centre- up to £55k Headline: A number of roles at level between Mid and Lead, all doing backend Java development. Location: Nottingham City Centre (very close to train, tram, and bus connections, and car parking.) Package: up to £60K plus bonus (around £5-10k, based on personal performance) Ideal candidate: Someone who has lots of experience with, and a massive passion for, Java and related technologies and working in an Agile environment ideally using TDD, with great communication skills and a desire to deliver quality solutions in a large, cross-functional team. At a glance you’ll need to have experience with: ·Java, Java spring, Maven ·SOA, HTTP and REST ·Awareness of cloud infrastructure ·Coding Standards ·Microservice development ·Agile Qualities I’m looking for: ·Good communicator, willing to share and teach ·Team player ·Strong leadership ·A desire to do things the right way, with a fail fast and break things mentality. Working with a very well-known company in the heart of Nottingham city centre, I’m looking for number of Java Developers to join their team. They are creating a couple of brand new teams this year, so very excitement-inducing times there You will be part of a team that covers a lot of stuff; everything from architecture (this is spread out across teams, it’s not just one person’s responsibility), to back end Java development, to TDD and unit testing, to gathering requirements, to implementing solutions and working through their CI/ CD pipelines. If you want to specialise in a particular area, but haven’t been able to in the past, then let me know, as they encourage and will support you in achieving this - or any other- goal you may have. Personality-wise- I’m looking for someone for whom technology is a way of life, not just a job. You’ll love exploring new tech, but at the same time, want to use the best, most suitable tool for the job, even if that means not using the most shiny new thing on the market You will be a fabulous communicator, working well in a large, cross-functional team in a collaborative way to ensure the best results possible are achieved.
