Overview
We are a leading housing association, driven by our social purpose where our residents are at the heart of everything we do - more homes, better places, excellent services. Providing an efficient 'right first time' repairs and maintenance services to our properties is our key focus. We're currently recruiting for experienced Electricians to work as part of our M & E Team in the Oxfordshire/Swindon area. As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket. You'll also benefit from: £330 yearly Tool Allowance £450 yearly flexible benefit pot to use against benefits of your choice Uniform & PPE 25 Days Holiday Bank Holidays (with an extra day every year up to 30 days) Chance to buy or sell holiday as part of our flexible benefits package A van and fuel card for business travel iPhone and iPad Generous pension and life cover As an electrician you'll carry out routine maintenance, repair and installation of electrical services equipment in our residents homes as part of our Responsive Repairs Team and elsewhere in accordance to work schedules, Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEE) wiring regulations and to Sovereign's established standard procedures. Experience within a similar role, within a Residential/Housing sector is ideal and you should be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 (or equivalent), 17/18th Edition (BS7671) and City & Guild 2391 Electrical Test/Inspect. Proof of your qualifications will need to be provided at the interview. You'll enjoy working alone or as part of a team and be confident in using IT technology such as iPads. This is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through call out and overtime at competitive rates to enhance your earnings Due to the requirement to travel within this role, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 2 years experience and have the ability to drive and take home a company van.
