Transport Planner, £28,000-£35,000, Clydebank Your new company Our client is a market leader in their field and due to an expansion in their business they have an opportunity for a Transport Planner to join an experienced team in Clydebank to support one of their major customers. They are also going through an investment at the site too. Your new role Efficient co-ordination of personnel to ensure the transport/logistics requirements of client are met.Maintain and improve effective relationships / interactions between the client. Co-ordination of transport resources to ensure compliance with Legislative requirements and client needs. Ensure Drivers are trained and competent and have received sufficient training to fulfil role. Be pro-active on H&S issues and maintain a seamless supply chain operation. What you'll need to succeed You must have previous experience in Transport Planning with the ability to work to tight deadlines and must be flexible in your approach to work shift patterns. Good interpersonal skills, customer focused and a good team player with the ability to work on your own initiative where required. You must have excellent problem solving skills, analytical and good organisational skills. Knowledge of haulage industry legislation preferred. This role is a dayshift/backshift position.
