Overview

Our client based in Hornsey are currently recruiting an OFSTED Registered Provision Manager to join their team. As the Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day to day running of the Home in line with organisational policies and procedures, Ofsted requirements and Local Authorities' expectations. You will also be expected to take on-call responsibilities when required. You will lead and manage a team in the Home and supervise the delivery of care plans, risk assessments and behavioural management plans for the young people in our home. Duties to include but not limited to Make application to OFSTED within four weeks of their appointment Undergo an enhanced DBS check - if you don’t have one on the update service Keep the children's guide, SOP, and policies and procedures under review Be responsible for the management, co-ordination and development of a range of quality services for young people referred and/or accommodated within the home Ensure the Home exceeds all standards prescribed within the National Minimum Standards for Children's Homes 2015 Ensure the young people's needs are met in line with the 5 Every Child Matters outcomes Build effective multi-agency and partnership relationships with Local Authorities, CAMHS, YOS and other agencies as required Promote the practice of working in partnership with young people, their families, other staff within the company and other agencies, in order to meet the needs of young people Provide effective leadership by implementing organisational strategies, in order to enable objectives of the company to be achieved Maximise the effectiveness of staff through motivation, development and the application of the company personnel policies Skills and Experience Strong, verifiable track record within children's residential home, e.g. been inspected by OFSTED in a similar capacity At least two years’ experience in managing a registered home with a minimum of a GOOD rating Commercial awareness, budget and referrals management experience Strong "can do" attitude, motivation, flexibility and ability to work with people at all levels of the Excellent communication, writing and IT literacy skills Qualifications NVQ Level 5 Children and Young People's qualification
