Overview

We are looking for a reliable, flexible and motivated individual, who has a positive outlook to work within our team. They will be required to support our client in her home and out in the community within the Kidsgrove area. You will be working with our 30 year-old female client who enjoys going to the theatre, likes animals and loves people watching. The client has complex needs and is none verbal with no voluntary movement so is reliant on support for transfer and engagement. DUTIES: Your duties will include: · Assisting with activities of daily living · Accompanying to social activities · Providing carry over of therapy programmes · Provide personal care · Attend appointments · Support at Hydrotherapy · Support at day centre (if on shift) PERSON SPECIFICATION: Due to personal care being provided family have requested only female candidates would be considered. Qualifications: NVQ level 2 or equivalent would be preferable but not essential. Experience: We particularly welcome applications from people with experience in complex care, with experience of working night shifts (essential) Skills: Knowledge or experience of working with PEGs would be advantageous, experience of working with non-verbal low mobility clients would also be beneficial.
