Overview

The Threat Leadership Directorate drive the national response to serious organised crime threats, through one voice, and works with partners both inside the NCA and externally to set the strategic direction, facilitate effective delivery of the response, and ensure we understand the impact of our activity. This role will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of Threat Leadership in accordance with the NCA Target Operating Model requirements. This includes design and implementation of consistent strategic governance arrangements, that ensure an efficient and effective response, against the 4Ps (Prepare, Prevent, Protect and Pursue) of the HMG Serious and Organised Crime Strategy for its SOC (Serious and Organised Crime) threats. This role also involves the management of the Command Threat Management Team, with cross-command responsibility for providing business support and governance for central service functions; contributing to the achievement of the NCA’s strategic objectives. Job description This is a pivotal post and directly supports 3 Deputy Directors and the Director in the development of the Command and in support of the reporting requirements expected by both Deputy Director Generals (Capabilities and Operations). This includes strategic representation for the Command at various governance boards including Risk & Performance, Learning & Skills, Change & Investment and Enterprise Design Committees.
