Overview

£110,000 - £130,000 base Challenger Bank Central London Head of Financial Planning and Analysis This leading Challenger Bank is currently going through a period of exponential growth and is fast becoming the "go-to' company in its sector. As the Head of F P & A you will report into the Finance Director and be instrumental into providing the business with "value add' financial information as well as compiling the company budgets and forecasts. Responsibilities include: · Monitoring and updating the budget and business forecast both annually and quarterly, at a divisional level. · Questioning and interrogating reasons behind Variances to the budget, and proposing changes. · Preparation of Monthly Management reporting packs, KPI monitoring and weekly MI. · Partnering with key stakeholders across the business to ensure inputs to the model are reasonable and accurate. · Working on new business initiatives, and understanding their capital implications. Requirements · Previous banking experience is essential, with at least 3 years post qualified experience in a Bank or other regulated Financial Services company. · A recognised accounting qualification. · Very strong excel skills with the ability to take ownership of the business model and improve it, as well as automate some of the reporting by pulling together large datasets from different applications. · Solid financial accounting skills, including ability to analyse and interpret variances. · Knowledge and understanding of financial systems and procedures including the ability to extract and manipulate data. · Effective financial management skills, including budgetary control, variance analysis and re-forecasting. · Ability to analyse margins, understand factors that influence them and forecast expected margins based on those factors. · Strong communication and business partnering skills
