Overview
We Care Recruitment Solutions are currently looking for an experienced Housing Manager to work within the Darlington area, offering housing related support for children and young people aged between 16-25 to work on a 24hr week contract. It is essential that the successful candidate has the below: Level 3 and above in Housing Management and significant management experience Administration experience in reporting, recording and finance control and use of computer packages and systems such as Windows and bespoke spreadsheets and Databases Significant experience of working with young people at risk of homelessness Knowledge / understanding of the principle causes and effects of youth homelessness, sound understanding of existing legislation affecting homeless people, including the Housing Act, Children Act, Southwark ruling. Knowledge of range of models of Accommodation and support which are appropriate to young people at risk, with a clear understanding of Safeguarding procedures. Knowledge of Health and Safety in terms of safety of young people and safety of staff as well as buildings Health and Safety and Fire Risk management Desirable: Experience of supporting/working with youth offending services, mental health services and substance misuse services.
