Statistician - Research & Development Cambridge, England, United Kingdom Description: We are looking for a Statistician who is passionate about transforming mental health care. You will be using technology to improve the accessibility, affordability and quality of evidence-based treatment for common mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. We are looking for a statistician to join a world class team and help us bring this new model of treatment to people who need it around the world. You will lead research design and analytical strategies, develop and review statistical analysis plans, and provide statistical advice to the wider science team. Research experience working on clinical trials, together with good interpersonal and communication skills are desirable. Roles and Responsibilities: Provide statistical input into the design, analysis, reporting and interpretation of research projects and clinical trials Apply existing statistical methods or develop new ones to address scientific problems Communicate statistical concepts and results to a diverse audience Offer support and disseminate statistical know-how to scientists and clinicians Coordinate with other members of the science team to prepare statistical analyses To assist in the preparation of materials for data dissemination, including internal presentations and manuscripts for publication in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals Requirements: A postgraduate qualification (e.g. MSc, PhD) in a relevant subject area (e.g. data science, statistics, mathematics) ideally with relevant experience as a statistician in a clinical research setting Demonstrated ability to apply innovative statistical methods to the analysis of data from clinical trials Experience with Bayesian methods The ability to explain technical concepts in terms accessible to scientific collaborators Knowledge and experience of programming languages (e.g. R) or statistical analysis tools Good organisation skills Benefits: Competitive basic salary Up to 5% matched pension contribution 25 days' holiday per year plus 3 extra days for Christmas office closure, and the ability to purchase more Death in Service 3 x salary Discretionary bonus scheme (following successful probation) Extensive training and development options Active Sports and Social Clubs Flexible benefits package including company funded healthcare cash plan, cycle to work, gym and shopping discounts and much more.
