About The Role Activity Coordinator - Sherwood The Sherwood Huntercombe Centre in Nottingham is looking for an Activity Coordinator to play an instrumental role in the lives of individuals, supporting and encouraging them to achieve their goals and ambitions. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week which may include some weekend shifts to meet the needs of our residents. A full manual driving licence is essential as you will be required to drive company vehicles from time to time. Key Accountablities: • To provide Vocational, Educational and Recreational activities for the service users in the unit and via community access. • Organization of activities for all service users to develop and maintain new skills. • Carry out regular assessments to establish service user’s strengths and needs and by using recognized assessment systems/tools help develop individual care plans. • To provide in-house activities for other care staff to use with service users, i.e. puzzles, football, board games etc. • To organize trips out for the service users. • To provide the nursing team with reports for CPA meetings, in-house meetings and other reviews as applicable. • As a member of the support team, help to create a safe, educational and therapeutic environment based on the needs of the individuals and ensuring that their rights, dignity and personal privacy are maintained at all times. • To monitor and support the Assistant Activities Co-Ordinator (if one is in post) to provide a service to all service users by working with them as necessary.
