What you will be doing You will join a team that works well together to provide s pecialist treatment and care for people with Learning disabilities and complex needs, as a member of the team you will belong to a dedicated multidisciplinary team and together support patients with their physical, cognitive and emotional needs. It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; being able to do something today that they couldn’t do last week because of you. The Woodhouse, Lockwood Road, Cheadle,Staffordshire ST10 4QU Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide person-centred care for men with a learning disability and/or Autism. Gaining experience across low secure and locked rehabilitation environments to support better health and greater independence. You’ll work in environments ranging from small village cottages, where independent living skills can be developed, to 8 bedded units that facilitate the development of daily living skills. The service values positive risk-taking opportunities within a context of robust risk assessment and management to ensure those we support are kept safe. The Woodhouse is located near Cheadle in Staffordshire, which is commutable from Derby, Stoke-on-Trent, Uttoxeter and surrounding areas.
