Job Description
Zinc Network is a global communications business helping its government and private-sector clients tackle complex social issues through strategic communications. The company is focused on achieving social impact primarily in partnership with government and the private sector. We create and deliver award-winning campaigns that tackle some of the world's toughest social problems; from countering extremism to bridging the digital literacy gap among seniors to boosting mental health well-being in young people. We design, implement and evaluate creative and communications campaigns that change the way people think, feel and behave across a range of issues. We specialise in working with multiple stakeholders; including government, NGOs, charities and media organisations. We're a full-service agency and provide clients with research, strategy, creative, technical, production, marketing and evaluation expertise. Our strategic thinking informs our creativity, and our strategy is driven by an 'always-on' approach to audience feedback and insights. Zinc Network is looking for a Strategist to assist in the development of a range of campaigns both in the UK and our growing international client base. You'll need to draw on your knowledge of the target audience, their attitudes and behaviour, and the range of communication methods for reaching them, to develop the best campaigns. Drawing on insights, gathered both internally and externally, you'll help ensure our strategic thinking is always grounded in a clear understanding of the potential impact it could have Requirements As a member of the Research and Strategy team, you will play a vital role in building our capability to do this innovatively and driving a culture in the company where we always look to ask ' why '?'. * You'll develop, plan and write campaign strategies. * You'll develop an in-depth understanding of the issues relevant to our work by reviewing appropriate literature and research papers. * You'll work closely with the Campaign Management, Digital, Creative, PR and Production teams to ensure work is delivered in accordance with the campaign objectives. * You'll take responsibility for the overall execution of campaigns in order to ensure they are delivering the strategy in the most effective manner. * You'll coordinate teams and monitor campaign outputs to ensure they deliver on the strategy. * You'll understand the attitudes and underlying motivations of the audience for each campaign in order to develop an effective theory of change. * You'll assist in planning campaign rollout, taking into consideration how we'll evaluate it against the objectives. * You'll support strategy development for overseas projects, helping to ensure a consistent Zinc Network approach across all our campaigns. * You'll occasionally assist in the development of proposals to secure new business. Requirements * It is essential that you are able to think strategically and write with great clarity. * You should already have some experience in a creative agency in a similar role either as a planner or strategist. * It would be advantageous if you have already worked on comparable projects/issues (Government projects/third sector). * You will have a demonstrable passion for the transformational impact of innovative comms strategies. * You will have a deep understanding of behaviour change.
