Job Description

We are currently seeking to appoint a full time Catering Manager at Old Moat with a minimum of NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Food Preparation and Cooking and Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate. The kitchen team take pride in the delivery of fresh and appetising food for both pupils and staff, and work to high standards following Health and Safety procedures. We are l0oking for somebody with a flexible, energetic approach to start work in October. The salary is: Grade 4, Scale Point 7 to 11, £19,554 to £21,166 (dependant on experience). Working hours are 35 per week (6.45am to 2.15pm, inc.30 mins break) term time only, with five additional days allocated across the year for deep cleaning time during training days and holidays. We are looking for a driven and motivated individual, with innovative menu ideas, and a passion for working with young people to promote healthy eating. We need a dedicated and enthusiastic person who: • has passion for high quality, nutritious food • can work in a demanding role • is a strong leader capable of motivating and leading a team • has previous catering and leadership experience, preferably in a school environment, • and can ensure value for money in managing resources.
