We are currently recruiting for a Band 5 recovery practitioner / ward nurse at Aintree University Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team within Aintree Hospital Day Case Ward. Working within our recovery and surgical forward wait, as well as admissions and discharge management within our elective care day case department will enable you to develop knowledge & skills across a range of surgical specialties in a supportive environment. Aintree is the designated trauma centre for the Merseyside-Cheshire collaborative and provides trauma orthopaedics specialist care. We also have an extensive range of surgical specialities across four theatre suites including: Hepatobiliary, Upper/Lower GI, Urology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Maxillo-Facial, Gynaecology and orthopaedics. This incorporates elective, daycase and emergency surgery provision. The post, dependant on placement may include night and weekend work with on-call requirement to cover our emergency theatres. We have a dedicated practice education team and there is an opportunity for career development through rotation across specialties, and a well-structured and supported preceptorship programme to help you achieve your career aspirations and realise your full potential.
