Ultrasonographer Band 7 Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Radiology Department is an ISO 9001 accredited multi-modality directorate. We are committed to the continuous development and role extension of our staff. We are seeking to recruit to our highly professional team, an enthusiastic, motivated sonographer who is committed to providing high quality patient focused care. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellent technical and communication skills, have the ability to work well as part of the ultrasound team and to work flexibly to effectively manage their workload. Sonographers scan and report independently based on well-established protocols and processes. The range of scanning includes: general abdominal, gynaecological, obstetric, small parts, DVT and MSK. It is expected that the successful candidate will rotate through all areas which includes inpatients, outpatients and the obstetrics department. Whilst qualification and experience in MSK scanning would be an advantage it is not essential. Contrast studies of the liver and kidneys are also carried out in the department and training opportunities in this area are available.
