Clinical Research Nurse Band 5 Permanent post The Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospital NHS Trust are looking for a Band 5 Research Nurse for the purpose built Clinical Research Unit. The Research Development & Innovation Department at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust has one of the largest portfolios of clinical research in Cheshire & Merseyside with clinical research projects covering many disease areas including respiratory, cancer, gastroenterology, infection and pharmacology. The RLBUHT Clinical Research Unit (CRU) is a Phase 1 accredited unit, the first NHS trust in England and Wales to achieve this standard. The unit undertakes and delivers clinical trials in both patients and healthy volunteers with a particular emphasis on early phase research. Patients are seen in comfortable surroundings ultimately improving the patient experience for patients in Clinical Trials. The post holder will provide support with early and late phase clinical research and work closely with the operational team. They will assist with the day to day management of research studies with supervision as part of a research team. The post holder will assist the clinicians in the assessment of patients/volunteers for eligibility for research and monitoring of their condition throughout their participation. They will ensure that data is collected and managed accurately. They will assist with recruitment targets under supervision of the research team. The post holder will ensure that all clinical research activity is ICH GCP compliant and conducted in accordance with the agreed protocols. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated person and must demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development.
